Malta is not the center of the world. Not even the edge. Yet it is able to take an astonishing leap into human rights - and invoking human rights.

Because the Maltese law forbids getting professional help for someone who hasn't experienced their gender in a natural way, but wants to change that. Matthew Grech was once an ardent LGBTQ activist and openly gay, which in itself is nothing to condemn. It is not because of this that they are conducting an official witch hunt against him, but because he shared his story about leaving homosexuality. (Certainly his unforgivable sin is that he spreads the words of the Gospel, but even today, they do not dare to openly say that the Christian faith is also persecuted. It is only persecuted in silence, under the grass.)

The Maltese musician sent a letter to the CitizenGo community, you can read his writing below.

"Thank you very much for all the support and prayer background that I receive from you and the Hungarian community of CitizenGO. I'm Matthew Grech, a 33-year-old Maltese musician. I am an ordained minister at my local Christian church, serving primarily as a worship leader. I play the piano, write songs and set them to music. I also teach at a Bible school.

Also, I am an ex-LGBT activist. I am passionate about sharing my testimony about leaving homosexuality with people and spreading the hope of the gospel of God's kingdom!

I was prosecuted in Malta for sharing my story of leaving homosexuality.

Thank you for your support by signing the petition and sharing this letter as widely as possible!

In April 2022, I was invited by a small online platform that values freedom of speech to share my story and my conservative views on marriage and sexuality. They asked about same-sex attraction, so-called "conversion therapies" and counseling. The two hosts and myself had a very positive conversation, clashing scientific and practical arguments and touching on spirituality as well.

A few weeks later I was summoned to the police station, where I was told that three people had reported me to the police, accusing me of promoting so-called "conversion practices" in this interview and of violating Malta's "Sexual Orientation Affirmation, Gender Identity and Gender Expression 167". law".

The police charged me shortly thereafter.

I was surprised that this matter had escalated to this point, as it was not the first time that I had shared my story in Malta.

The IFTCC organization was also mentioned in the interview, which supports people who leave the LGBTQ lifestyle and includes professionals and therapists who deal with them and help them in the community. The IFTCC stands for the free choice of therapy worldwide. An annual conference is organized in Hungary, and we met Eszter Schittl there a few years ago. The mention of this credible professional organization must have made the LGBTQ lobby nervous.

All three of the people who reported me appear to be connected to the Maltese government, the EU and the Maltese homosexual movement. It seems very much as if these three organizations have branded Christians because of their faithful adherence to God's Word.

This is very worrying, especially in one of the countries with the oldest Christian heritage, Malta.

The police inspector never questioned me but simply decided to charge me and take me to the criminal court.

For the first time in my life, I am faced with this level of opposition and harassment.

At the first hearing, a second, potentially final hearing was set for June 9, 2023, when all witnesses will be heard.

This criminal case is of international importance, as Malta was the first country in the EU to ban so-called "conversion practices" and as UN bodies are pushing for this legislation to spread internationally.

I pray that we can prevent similar ideological bans from being erected in countries where they are not already present. I pray that this unnecessary and malicious ban will be withdrawn in Malta and wherever it is in force.

You can support me and my legal team in two ways: by signing the petition and by your prayers.

Our victory will be the victory of Christians in Malta, Europe and the whole world.

Christian conversion is not a crime, the teaching of the Bible must not be attacked!

My beloved brother in Jesus Christ, thank you for standing by me!

Matthew Grech"

The duplicity that usually characterizes left-liberal "Western" politics is stomach-churning. They lie about human rights, freedom of choice, democracy, while they want to wrest the right of decision from people's hands. Not even faint signs of decency can be detected in, for example, such "little things" as freedom of expression, parental rights, freedom of religion, and similar issues.

You are free to practice your religion, except if you are a Christian. One (or any number of) Muslims can pray undisturbed, prostrate themselves facing Mecca, even at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, this is their right. But a priest cannot preach the word of God on the street, no one can pray silently and undisturbed in front of an abortion clinic. You can incite on social media against white-skinned Europeans, you can preach the supremacy of Allah and call for the extermination of non-Muslims, but you cannot preach the truth of the Bible. Totally democratic, isn't it?

It is possible to "sensitize" their children without the knowledge and consent of the parents, it is even possible to support non-transformative treatments without asking them, it is possible to force children who do not want to use "co-educated" toilets, but it is forbidden to criticize or protest against this mess .

And as the mental illness in Malta proves (of course based on the brainless UN resolution), it is possible to ban and even persecute those who want to get help to confirm their natural gender identity, or even "advertise" its restoration. Because the real democracy is what the endlessly cynical and probably mentally ill politicians (respect to the exception) allow. What is nature, science, reality to them, they mock all of this, then sit back with satisfaction, saying: well, we'll do with you what we want!

We could say, what are we doing, Malta's example is really not authoritative.

Can we say?
