The message of the child protection referendum is clear: gender ideology, but also physical abuse of children, must be acted upon by all means. The next Hungarian child protection package is coming, meanwhile an inhumane law is being drafted in Germany, a schismatic esoteric opinion dominated the legislation.
An unprecedented agreement was reached among voters in the child protection referendum a year ago: on April 3, 2022, not only the right wing, but also the Hungarians who stand for normality won a huge victory - the Center for Fundamental Rights announced on the occasion of the anniversary on its Facebook page . It was recalled in the post,
the child protection referendum exceeded the national consensus points of the referendum on NATO and European Union accession: 3.7 million voters took the position of rejecting gender ideology and advocating the protection of minor children.
They also reminded that the decisive vote called at the initiative of the governing parties, in addition to domestic and foreign policy attacks, was tried to be made impossible by the "oppositions of the network of the open society".
At home, the parties of the left coalition and their allies abroad called it "aberration", "meaningless", "bad joke" or "nonsense". Thanks to their attitude of propagating sexual differences and their "love is love" campaign, they encouraged pedophiles, who abuse minors in an increasingly brazen manner, they said. According to the Center for Fundamental Rights

They emphasized that because of this, the rules must be further tightened with a deterrent force, "because there are things that cannot be forgiven". Quoting the words of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, they added:
children must be protected at any cost, so Hungary must have the strictest child protection system in Europe!
The center also touched on the fact that the "camp of common sense" is gaining more and more members, as there are more and more states that put the protection of children ahead of gender propaganda. In the United States, in addition to Florida, the legislators of Alabama, Arkansas, South Dakota and Louisiana have also developed child protection guarantees similar to the Hungarian legislation - they drew attention, mentioning Lithuania from Europe as well.
The next Hungarian child protection package is coming
Every adult is responsible for every child - stated Gabriella Selmeczi, the Fidesz member of parliament, on Monday at the conference "Challenges of the changing world in child protection" in Budapest.
The ruling party politician indicated at the meeting that the ruling parties
they plan to submit the next child protection package to the Parliament in the fall, in the development of which they expect the cooperation of child protection organizations.
He went on to say that the punishments for pedophile crimes have been tightened in several areas, including the punishments - the most serious cases can be punished to the same extent as murder - and bans from employment have also been made mandatory, so that if someone is legally convicted for committing such crimes, then the more don't go near children.
LGBTQ and gender propaganda did not stop at the borders of Hungary, he said, and then, referring to the national consultation on child protection, he also raised:
people should be asked whether it would be necessary in Hungary to prohibit gender reassignment surgeries for those under the age of 18 by force of law.
He noted that these interventions are not yet prohibited by law, but the general experience is that they are not carried out.
Gabriella Selmeczi recalled: the ombudsman recently ordered a comprehensive investigation in public education institutions in order to find out how to filter out pedophiles or teachers prone to sexual crimes from schools. At the same time, he spoke about the need to strengthen the network of foster parents.
Irreversible consequences
Pediatrician Christl Ruth Vonholdt, former head of the German Institute for Youth and Society, explained in her presentation entitled "Gender dysphoria in minors as a medical, psychological and social challenge":
it lacks any scientific basis that "transcendence" is a given, innate quality.
He also mentioned that
if they do not resort to medical means - including the use of anti-puberty preparations and opposite gender hormones - then the condition of gender dysphoria will disappear on its own in 85 percent of children during adolescence.
He also pointed out that, at the same time, in the case of children treated with anti-puberty drugs, the proportion of those who insist on gender reassignment is increasing rapidly, most of whom even undertake gender reassignment surgery.
And with that, he continued, they decide that
they become irreversibly infertile and assume a lifelong dependence on hormones.
In my opinion, a 10-year-old or even a 17-year-old is not capable of seeing the consequences of such a decision
he said.
Christl Ruth Vonholdt also emphasized that neither hormone therapy nor surgical interventions are able to reduce the high rate of psychological illnesses among those affected by gender dysphoria.
Gender dysphoria is often preceded by serious mental illnesses, he pointed out, and then declared: in a liberal society, adults have every right to take this path, but children must be protected from this destructive path.
Consequences of a missed social debate
Írisz Sipos, the press representative of the ecumenical Offensive Junger Christen community, spoke about Germany in the shadow of the gender self-determination law and the family law reform - Consequences of a missed social debate,
that the draft law would add "homo- and transphobic motive" to the German criminal code, and would also punish all treatment, measures and counseling that could question, delay or hinder the process of gender change. He drew attention to the fact that this would also apply to parents and teachers.
The draft law does not even raise the possibility that a child's "transition intention" may even be temporary, he added, criticizing the draft and stating: a schismatic esoteric opinion dominated the (German) legislation.
In order to protect traditional values, we must join the debate even if our position does not yield laurels, because the future is at stake, he emphasized.
