Twelve thousand eggs were placed on the tree in the center of the settlement. - The special Easter decoration has been a tradition in Kéthely since 2015, this year the huge straw rabbit has been completed, the painted giant eggs have been replaced and the illuminated egg tunnel cannot be missed either - pointed out Balázs Molnár, mayor of Kéthely.
- Many children ask how the bunny brings these big eggs. A special train is being prepared for him, but this is a surprise, the mayor noted. Many visitors bring eggs themselves and hang them on the tree.
"Easter decorations have already arrived from almost all over the country, even from New York, France, Austria and Germany," said Balázs Molnár.
During the weekend, bunnies, lambs and baby goats also take their place in the Easter decorations, the animals come from a local farm. Both local and surrounding producers offer delicacies and handicrafts. And on Easter Monday, the fire truck arrives to sprinkle the girls with water so they don't wither.
