Week after week we listen to the sermon, in which many things are said. We hear, we understand the words, we just don't want to take notice of it.

What is the reason? Has today's world turned us into this? We wrestle in unison, our faces don't even tremble when we hear the scandals, but we pray to God, who is our refuge and we expect help from Him.

We don't even listen to the words of your "intermediary". It talks about love, peace, the trivialities of earthly life, and while we sit with a straight face, perhaps our thoughts are elsewhere. It's as if hope is lost. Although once upon a time, the one-time man thought that: in God's chamber, hope is in the biggest bag. The string is always untied so that everyone can reach into it.

It seems we don't want to live with this anymore. Let's leave ourselves in the drift of the world, we acknowledge that we have to adapt to everyday life. Nowadays, it is fashionable to complain, to sigh, to present our own lamentation in one way or another, and even to slander our immediate friends and acquaintances. This is Hungarian virtue. And let's say that we Catholics are different, but we drift and follow the trend, even though we know; it's a great thing to see, to know. We piss off the wise, cheer on the ignorant. The camp of those who are more and more poor in spirit is only growing, because not seeing, not knowing, is a comfortable state.

We see the facts and as we know, facts are stubborn things.
