It was not a big surprise that respondents with other political views had quite different views on the topic. Overall, 94 percent of respondents who identify themselves as right-wing support stopping the migration flow outside of Europe, in contrast to left-wing respondents, who are opposed to it by 63 percent. As for the voters of the ruling party, 56 percent approve of stopping immigration.
Politicians have also noticed the current migration situation and its worsening, so the president of the Republican Party, Éric Ciotti, wrote to the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, to draw his attention to the worrisome wave of migration coming from Italy.
