With unified cover images, "Ruszkik haza!" Jobbik politicians demonstrate on their Facebook pages that they are behind the American pro-war poster campaign. This development and the invitation of party leader Márton Gyöngyösi, known for his anti-Semitic statements, to the Seder evening of the US embassy in Budapest, as well as the background people appearing around Jobbik with excellent overseas connections, indicate that the once national radical party is being kept on a tight American leash.

Several developments have come to light in recent weeks that clearly indicate that Jobbik has come under strong American influence. The once national radical party, which was later integrated into the left-wing bloc led by Ferenc Gyurcsány, has recently seen political background figures with excellent overseas connections and good relations with democratic circles. Magyar Nemzet recently wrote that Zoltán Kész and Zoltán Somogyi appeared among the staff of the institute preparing the party's future strategy, which includes a name change. The latter not only plays a role in building Jobbik's new, conservative image, but is also an indirect owner of Splendidea Kft., the company managing the American poster campaign that started a few days ago.

As Origo reported on Saturday, the social media site Nyugati Pályán started a campaign with American money to counterbalance the pro-peace stance of the Hungarian government. According to the network of connections in the company database, Splendidea Kft., which operates the platform, also includes Political Capital Kft. And Somogyi was previously the managing director of Splendidea and one of the founders of Political Capital.

At the behest of Jobbik, it got behind the American poster campaign. In light of this, it is no longer surprising that the party is vigorously promoting the message of the "Russkik haza" poster campaign. It appeared that Jobbik's dominant politicians and members of parliament, led by party leader Márton Gyöngyösi, unanimously set the headline of the American-initiated poster campaign as the cover image on their Facebook pages.

It is therefore absolutely clear that Jobbik, with its unified social media pages, takes the leading role among the opposition parties in the pro-war campaign funded by the US embassy in Budapest. Zoltán Somogyi, a former SZDSZ member with two decades of experience in political marketing, and co-founder of the left-liberal consultancy called Political Capital, probably also had a role in coming up with the text of the poster, which can be used to target right-wing people who still have feelings about the suppression of the 1956 revolution. are against the Russians. By creating a mood based on American interests, Jobbik can even hope to win over some of the voters who are receptive to it.

Knowing the above, it is no longer surprising that the president of Jobbik was a guest of the American ambassador David Pressman a few days before the launch of the poster campaign. We do not know exactly how big a role Zoltán Somogyi had in the fact that Márton Gyöngyösi, who had previously declared Israeli citizens a national security risk, was invited to the Seder evening held at the US Embassy in Budapest, and was even seated right next to Pressman.

However, the ambassador's later explanation, that they hosted Gyöngyösi precisely because he is anti-Semitic and it is a good thing if people with different views sit down at the same table, is completely unrealistic. It is much more likely that the Jobbik president was received because of the political cooperation between the embassy and the party .

In addition to Zoltán Somogyi, the aforementioned Zoltán Kész, who participated in the development of Jobbik's new strategy, also has excellent overseas connections. Magyar Nemzet previously wrote about the ex-presidential member of the People's Hungary Movement led by Péter Márki-Zay that he is almost going home to America. As a Fulbright scholarship holder, he spent a few months on the other side of the ocean with the support of György Soros's foundation in 2000-2001, and then in 2006 he also studied pedagogy for a longer period, half a year, in Buffalo. In May 2019, Zoltán Kész traveled to Washington with Péter Márki-Zay, where one of the Soros organizations arranged meetings for them with, among others, the leaders of the Helsinki Committee and unnamed foreign ministry experts.

So all signs point in the same direction: Jobbik, which was integrated into the dollar left led by Ferenc Gyurcsány, has now clearly become an American agent party.
