As we already wrote about this morning, the Prime Minister met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade today. The main topic of the meeting was the deepening of the military industrial cooperation between the two countries.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, accompanied by Minister of Defense Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky, held talks with the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucsic, during a working breakfast. László Palkovics, CEO of N7 National Defense Industry Innovation Holding Zrt., and József Kovács, State Secretary of National Information, also met with the Prime Minister.

At the meeting, the possibilities of military cooperation between Hungary and Serbia were reviewed. It was established: in the coming years, the way will be opened for military technology and force development cooperation to be raised to a new level.

Viktor Orbán and Aleksandar Vucsic discussed the European security situation and the developments of the war in Ukraine, as well as the perspectives of the European integration of the Western Balkans.

After that, they visited the Batajnica airbase, where they saw the Gránit 2023 public military capability demonstration organized on the occasion of the Day of the Serbian Armed Forces.
