A surprising thread has come to light in the case of the Székely terror charge. The Romanian secret service may have had a financial interest in convicting the Székely youth for terrorism.
The Romanian Secret Service (Serviciul Roman de Informatii) may have had a financial interest in the conviction of the two political prisoners from Székely, István Beke and Zoltán Szőcs, on charges of terrorism - this was stated by the president of the Human Dignity Council based on a document obtained by the Hungarian Nation .
Zoltán Lomnici Sr. said: István Beke and Zoltán Szőcs were brought to court by the Romanian Organized Crime and Terrorism Prosecutor's Office, because the Romanian authorities deduced from their intercepted conversations and the firecrackers found in István Beke's apartment that they wanted to detonate a homemade bomb in 2015, the in the military parade organized for the Romanian national holiday on the first of December, in the main square of Kézdivásárhely.
– However, in 2016, the men from Székely were acquitted of the charge of terrorism in the first instance, and they were only convicted of a crime committed with pyrotechnic devices. István Beke and Zoltán Szőcs were finally convicted in 2018, but then for a terrorist act. They were sentenced to five years in prison, although the prosecution did not present any appreciable evidence, the court referred to classified documents, which neither the accused nor their defense could see
Zoltán Lomnici, the elder, reminded me.
However, in a document obtained by the former chief judge, in the report on the activities of the secret service in 2015, long before the final verdict, in 2016, it was recorded as a fact: they prevented a planned terrorist act, which would have created an opportunity for them to be victims, and this led to inter-ethnic tension would be. As he noted, the young people from Székely were not named in the material, but based on the circumstances, it appears that it is the Beke-Szőcs case.
- According to the report, the Hungarian extremists would have timed the plot for Romania's national holiday, which also clearly proves this
- stressed Zoltán Lomnici Sr.
According to the Magyar Nemzet article, the president of the Human Dignity Council reported that at that time the budget of the Romanian secret service had decreased significantly from one year to the next. - For this very reason, EU support was requested for the fight against terrorism, but results were needed to justify the spending of the funds. The secret service could thus have an interest in the successful conclusion of the conceptual procedure aimed at intimidating the Transylvanian Hungarians, which happened in 2018, emphasized Zoltán Lomnici Sr.
