In honor of Pope Francis' apostolic visit to Hungary from Friday to Sunday, Magyar Posta issued a themed personal stamp.
The visit of the Holy Father is a very important event not only for Catholics, but for all Hungarians from here and beyond, which is why the company decided to issue a thematic personal stamp in honor of the event - Magyar Posta emphasized in its statement sent to MTI on Friday.
The motto of the visit: Christ is our future. This motto can also be read on the denominations of the thematic personal stamp sheet consisting of six stamps.
The new stamp features a photo of Pope Francis, which was allowed to appear on the denominations with the permission of the Hungarian Catholic Bishops' Conference, the announcement states.
As Magyar Posta pointed out, due to the great interest, 5,000 copies will be produced instead of the originally planned 3,000 copies of the stamp sheet, and it can be purchased from Thursday, subject to stocks, at Filaposta and from the company's online store.
The announcement reminds us that papal-themed stamps are very popular in Hungary and internationally. On the occasion of papal visits, Magyar Posta traditionally issues stamps appropriate to the occasion.
