The XXXII. Komárom Imanapra. On Imanapon, they pray for the Hungarian chief pastor, as well as for Hungarian priestly and monastic vocations.

"The idea of starting the Komáromi Prayer Days was born in the spring of 1990, as a joint initiative of Hungarian believers and priests in the highlands, as part of the Hungarian Christian Democratic Movement's church program. The first meeting was held in Léva in the presence of forty-six Hungarian pastors from Slovakia, where the main mission of the days of prayer was formulated:

the common prayer uniting Hungarians in Slovakia for Hungarian priestly and monastic vocations in the highlands, for the Hungarian arch-pastor, and for the Hungarian bishopric."

The first day of prayer was held on June 3, 1990, the feast of Pentecost, in the St. Andrew's Church in Komárom. "Since some people wanted to set up the Prayer Days as a politically motivated event, the Jópásztor Foundation took over the organization from 1995 together with the Prayer Day organizing committee. And in 2006, the Pázmaneum Civic Association also joined the organizers," Attila Karaffa, the executive president of the Pázmaneum RT, recalled last year.

Today's Prayer Day in Komáromi begins with the Stations of the Cross at 2:15 p.m., and continues at 3:00 p.m. with a Mass for Hungarian priestly vocations and the Hungarian chief pastor. The Day of Prayer is broadcast by Mária Rádió from the Szent Anna chapel in Komárom. Let us pray persistently for this noble intention!
