The Oroslány firefighters pulled ducklings out of the pickle.
Ducklings fell into a canal through the grating cover on Sunday in Oroszlány. The local firefighters rescued the birds, and photos and video were taken of the strange rescue operation.
"Ten little mallard ducklings ducked into a canal trap yesterday. Their actions were covered by a cover. But the lion-hearted people of Orslány did not watch this (again) idly. The mother duck also fell into it, but she was the only one in doubt, so even though she tried remote parenting, it didn't work, she remained confident in the firefighters," the BM National Disaster Management Directorate General wrote on its Facebook page.
"We opened the grids in several places with hand tools and pulled out the animals in trouble by hand. The mother of the ducklings watched the entire rescue. We put them in a box and took them to the city lake a few hundred meters away, where the mother followed us all the way. After being released into the lake, they swam away together..." - reported the firefighters from Oroszlány.
"Since then, the ducks have been swimming in happiness," reads the strange post.
