Arnold Schwarzenegger, the world-famous actor and former governor of California, gave an interview to CNN in which he talked about anti-Semitism and his family's Nazi past.

Earlier, the actor declared at a forum held at the University of Southern California that he was "born with a Nazi father." When asked about this by CNN's Dana Bash, he responded:

"My father and millions of other people were sucked in by a system of hate, lies and deceit. We could see where this was going.”

He told.

Schwarzenegger also explained the source of his dislike of anti-Semitism.

“I saw firsthand how broken these people were. What atrocities took place. How many millions of people had to die and then end up as losers…

Schwarzenegger said he did not know the reason for the recent increase in hatred and anti-Semitic violence, but called for a way to end it.

"I think it's pretty clear that the more liberal we are on social issues," he added, "the more we see the other side getting angrier and more hateful in general," he said.

"A lot of people are angry. It's not just white people angry at blacks and people angry at Jews"

he added.

In March, the former governor released a video in which he called Nazis of his father's generation "losers" who "went down a path that ended in misery."

In the video, the actor and former governor of California said that his father, who was a member of the Nazi Party, became a broken man after the war who turned to alcohol. He further warned people that "there has never been a successful movement based on hate."
