Shea Bradley-Farrell, president of the Counterpoint Institute, praised the Hungarian Prime Minister's policy in an interview with the Hungarian Nation at the CPAC Hungary 2023 event. He believed that Hungary protected its economic interests by not accepting the Brussels sanctions against Russia, because then its economy would have collapsed. In addition, the head of the institute sharply criticized the American ambassador David Pressman, who represents the far-left, "very woke" American government.

What do you expect from this year's CPAC?

– I still want to make friends, because as the slogan of the meeting says: together we are strong. In addition, I am writing a book for the Center for Fundamental Rights on the question of national sovereignty and identity, as well as on how they view these issues in other countries. I am also very interested in how they experienced the Soviet occupation and the loss of their national identity. I think that's one of the reasons why they insist so much on their independence and sovereignty.

- The opinions of conservative forces around the world differ on the Russian-Ukrainian war. How can Hungary understand the pro-peace position and perhaps smooth over controversial issues with those who have a different opinion on this, but are on our side in other matters?

– This is a complex question. Now, I don't see how they can be ironed out, especially since the American ruling force today is permissive and continues to send military equipment and money to continue the war. I would not say that the countries that opposed the war sympathize with Russia, because, for example, Hungary was also invaded by the Soviet Union.

Rather, I tend to explain to people that this is about Viktor Orbán's perception of "home comes first". If he had accepted the sanctions against Russia, Hungary's economy would collapse because it was 85 percent dependent on Russian gas.

There is still a Soviet-era energy infrastructure here, so it was impossible to cut the link to Russian energy. I say that this is not pro-Russian, but Hungarian pragmatism.

– What can be done against the neo-Marxist woke and cancel culture?

– What CPAC can do is show the world that people haven't lost their common sense yet. They say they don't care if the propaganda is yelled at them from billboards or television because what it's about isn't true. This is not good for our children, our society, our future. I think it just helps people see that the media and certain leaders are driving this woke and cancel culture movement, not the people.

I would like to tell the Hungarian and European people that here at CPAC we represent the majority of people living in the United States as conservatives, on the other hand, what they see about America is only the reality of our media, our films and the vision of our current leaders.

It doesn't show, for example, how I grew up or what my family is like or what my husband is like, and I want these people to know that. Be brave, stand up for what is right!

- How can Hungary's efforts for sovereignty be successful?

"I think they have a great prime minister." He considers the fight for sovereignty very important, and he constantly works for it, which he also does extremely smartly and honestly. My husband and I call him an honest warrior, and we follow his example with a smile on our faces.

– What international examples can be seen in the wider world where the Hungarian model is applied? It seems as if the child protection law in Florida was created based on the legislation we have. Can the Hungarian model spread?

"I think it could spread." I don't know exactly whether Florida Governor Ron DeSantis passed the law based on the Hungarian model, but it is certain that it is remarkably similar to the Hungarian one. They simply said they did not want teachers and schools to talk to children about sex education and LGBTQ. The left has twisted this and interpreted it as "Don't say he's gay!" This is silly. Of course you can say "gay", but teachers shouldn't be teaching children about sexuality. When you think about it, this actually protects homosexual couples, because that way teachers won't tune out against them.

I believe that the Hungarian example should be followed in child protection, especially for other European Union countries. In addition, Hungary is also an excellent example for the United States to "take back" .

- What is your opinion about the activities of David Pressman, the ambassador of the United States in Hungary?

I want people to know: Pressman does not represent the majority of Americans, he represents the very woke, far-left, communist leadership of the United States, which hopefully will change soon.
