László Mozsár, the mayor of Jászágó, was awarded the Jászságért Prize by the Board of Trustees of the "A Jászságért" Foundation and the one million forints associated with it, in recognition of her many decades of multi-faceted, exemplary activities in collecting the local values ​​of Jászágó and preserving the traditions of Jászságó.

According to the Jászok Association, eight proposals were received for the thirty-second award.

Lászlóné Mozsár - born Mária Paksi - moved to Jászágo in 1969. He worked as the director of the local library and then of the cultural center until 2002, when he was elected mayor of Jászágó, the announcement reads.

He strives to pass on to the next generations of Jászágó the legacy that his predecessors left to the present. He persistently clings to the heritage of the past, knows the reality of the present well and builds the future of the settlement from these.

He wrote and published the history of Jászágó in 2019. In the collection and renewal of Jászágó's traditions, Lászlóné Mozsár - in cooperation with the late Sándor Macsi Jászságért Díjat school principal - assumed a decisive role.

The unique local history collection presents the history of the settlement from prehistoric times to the present day. The school history collection spans nearly a century and a half.

In 2016, his work was recognized with the Hungarian Gold Cross of Merit state award.

The 2023 Jászságért Award will be presented on July 1, 2023, at the 27th world meeting of native and home-grown jays in Jászdózsa.
