This is the apotheosis of full measure. Zsolt Bayer reacted to the way the Ukrainian president called the agricultural protection measures of neighboring countries, including Hungary, unacceptable.

The Ukrainian president did not like the fact that our country and four other EU countries banned the import of Ukrainian agricultural products.

Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Ursula von der Leyen held a joint press conference, at which the Ukrainian president declared that restrictions on agricultural imports from Ukraine to EU countries were "unacceptable".

As he explained, the "protectionist measures [...] of the EU countries neighboring Ukraine are completely unacceptable".

Brussels last week adopted temporary rules to ban exports of wheat, corn, canola and sunflowers of Ukrainian origin to Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia after those countries expressed concern that the livelihoods of local farmers were threatened by cheap Ukrainian grain.
