Györgyi Lang died in his sleep at home, surrounded by friends and family, after a long illness.

Born in Szeged, Györgyi Lang graduated from the Academy of Theater and Film Arts and was a member of the Pécs National Theater until 1988. In 1988, together with Mariann Falusi, they founded the band Pa-dö-dő, with which they performed for the first time at the Interpop Festival - this brought them a breakthrough in the music world.

Two years later, Kiabálj! album, one of their biggest hits was the Bye-Bye Szása .

They had a joint show on TV2 Girls are not angels , and in recent years they hosted the show Ötös on Klubrádio.

Györgyi Lang was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of 28, and had been using a wheelchair for years. In December 2021 he suffered a stroke , as a result of which his speech center was damaged and his right arm was paralyzed.

The singer known from the band Pa-dö-dő died on Saturday at her home, surrounded by friends and family, she was 66 years old.
