At the weekend, the folk dance and folk music cavalcade dominated the Tiszti Pavilion in Komárom. The Dance Forum – Professional Association of Slovak Hungarian Folk Dancers organized the Slovak Hungarian Dance Hall Meeting for the fifth time. The famous forum awaited the audience interested in folklore with a truly rich program.
Over the course of the two days, almost all the members of the Dance Forum, the folk dance group from the highlands, gave a small presentation on the spot. In addition, individual folk dance troupes and ensembles performed in award-winning programs and at the Dance Forum gala.
In the ceremonial hall of the Tiszti pavilion, there was a folk dance lesson on Saturday under the guidance of the best. In the morning, the little ones could take part in a rocking session.
In the courtyard of the Tiszti pavilion, the fair of artisans from the highlands and the mainland took place all day with its wonderful handicraft products. In one corner of the yard, they could try folk games. Handicrafts could not be left out either.
Folkudvar also offered colorful programs throughout the day on the open-air stage. The Hágyomány Háza Hálózat – Slovakia created a live folk music corner called Folkszöglet, where folk musicians from the highlands, youth bands and bands performed. Éva Korpás' album presentation concert also fit into the busy schedule.
The Dance Forum gala was followed by the performance of the Duna Art Ensemble, and the Antonio Projekt program closed the fifth dance hall meeting.
