The secretary of state responsible for international communication and relations responded to the latest planned attack against Hungary in a Facebook post. Zoltán Kovács wrote:

"The European Parliament is attacking Hungary again, this time they want to prevent our country from becoming president of the Union in the second half of 2024. As a reason, they come up with the usual accusation, repeated to the point of boredom, that Hungary violates the fundamental values of the EU and is therefore not suitable for the position of president. But we know the real reason: they don't like the fact that Hungary is pro-peace and they want to force us into war.

However, the Hungarian government does not yield to the pressure, we stand by our position. This is clear from the first moment of the war:

Hungary calls for peace and an immediate cease-fire, because this is the only way to save human lives.

Hungary is a full member of the European Union. He has held the presidency of the European Council in the past, and this will be the case in 2024 as well. We are making good progress with the preparations for the EU presidency, and we want to put on the agenda such important topics that are undesirable for those in favor of immigration, such as European demographic challenges, family policy instead of migration."
