Egyenlő.hu - in a letter sent to CÖF-CÖKÁ, the modern trade union, asked for the support of our spiritual defenders, proposing to keep commercial shops closed on December 24.
We support the proposal, evaluating that employees in trade serve customers in three shifts a day. We know that keeping their families together, providing for them and being together is important to them too.
When determining the working holidays, the government allows workers in other fields to have a six-day rest period before the Christmas holidays.
CÖF-CÖKA is a believer in the solidarity of our entire society. A nice gesture by the government, the owners of the companies and the workers' interest groups, which stands up for the workers in the affected area, can be the agreement that can ensure the day of rest on December 24th for trade workers and their families.
Through the cooperation of our citizens, it is possible to finish our holiday shopping by December 23. This also means that the income and profit of the affected commercial companies do not decrease on an annual basis.
The achievement of the modern age is the ever-expanding home delivery, as well as the continuous service of small shops employing 1-10 people, which can decide their opening hours themselves.
In view of the Christmas holidays, we now have the opportunity to give a day off to all those who ensure our smooth shopping throughout the year.
