Hungary rejects the lying attacks coming from Brussels and considers it shameful that the EP representatives of the Hungarian dollar left are active participants in these attacks.
"The pro-war left-wing majority of the European Parliament (EP) is preparing for another concerted attack and pressure on Hungary because of its pro-peace position," declared Balázs Hidvéghi, a member of the European Parliament of Fidesz, speaking to Hungarian journalists in Brussels on Wednesday.
Balázs Hidvéghi emphasized: the left-wing representatives of the EP attack Hungary earlier because of its opinion on migration, then because of its measures taken to protect families and children, and more recently because of its pro-peace position.
"The resolution planned to be presented during the debate on the state of the rule of law in Hungary at the plenary session of the EP in Brussels on Wednesday, which attempts to prevent Hungary from holding the position of president of the Council of the European Union in 2024, is a gross violation of EU law and the treaties on the European Union means"
- stated the Fidesz politician.
"We can expect harsh anti-Hungarian outbursts during the EP debate on the state of the rule of law in Hungary"
- said Hidvéghi, and then added: the purpose of the debate is to continue exerting pressure on Hungary, because his pro-peace position is not liked by the pro-war and arms transport elite.
Hungary rejects the false attacks and considers it shameful that the EP representatives of the Hungarian dollar left are active participants in these attacks. It is just as shameful that the Hungarian left-wing MEPs are working to prevent the Hungarian people from accessing EU funds in order to isolate Hungary, he said.
"We stand for the independence and freedom of Hungary and the protection of the Hungarian people"
Balázs Hidvéghi added. Hungary is ready to hold the presidency of the EU Council. He will carry out his duties in a high-quality, professional manner - emphasized the politician.
