Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Radio Kossuth Good morning, Hungary! he said in his program: the Hungarian government will use all means to further reduce inflation. The prime minister also defined the main goal of next year's European Parliament election, the goal of which is for pro-family forces to gain a majority in Brussels.

Inflation was brought about by European politics, and if the war were to end immediately, the economic situation would immediately improve - said Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Kossuth Rádió Good morning, Hungary! in his show.

According to the Prime Minister, EU sanctions aggravated the effects of the war.

Although the EU is a community of peace, the union is still on the side of war and the whole of Europe is suffering from Brussels' response to war.

This is particularly painful for us because Hungary did everything to ensure that those countries that are not part of the conflict are not tormented by the war, said the Prime Minister.

We don't see any signs that the war will end, so we have to fight against the economic consequences, he added. Besides

the big chains take advantage of the opportunity to increase profits, which also plays a major role in the development of inflation.

Viktor Orbán said that in some countries the institution of price caps will be brought back again, but he said that he believes that the current tools - such as mandatory promotions or price monitoring - are enough to bring inflation down to single digits by the end of the year. "But I see that the range of tools is wide, if necessary, we will take further steps, no way

we will not sit idly by, we will act and protect people and protect families with all possible government tools.”

said the prime minister.

The minister said that the increase in transit fees for energy carriers contributes to the increase in gasoline prices, which in turn increases inflation.

Viktor Orbán believes that the situation is worrying, since

the Ukrainians raised the price for the use of the oil pipeline, this means an additional cost of HUF 48 billion for Hungary, it "pushes up" the price of gasoline and increases inflation by 0.5 percent.

"It's bad to see that the Ukrainians are fighting for their lives, they have no money, they have hardly any weapons, they are facing an overwhelming force, yet they are inclined to continue the war - thereby putting Hungarian families in a difficult situation, because they have to raise the transit fee," said Viktor Orbán.

Maintaining overhead reduction under wartime conditions is extremely difficult, but

Hungary still has the lowest electricity and gas prices in Europe

Viktor Orbán declared.

In his opinion, the deterioration of the economic situation may be the decisive factor that will force the governments of the EU member states to join the peace camp, because if the West does not continue to finance the war, then it will end.

With the funds provided so far, we have not come any closer to the goal, to peace, said the prime minister.

In his view, the American president could do the most for peace, but it has not yet been decided whether the current president wants to campaign with a promise to end the war.

The existence or non-existence of children is related to the existence or non-existence of the homeland - emphasized the Prime Minister, adding that the decisions made by the current generation have short- and medium-term effects, but above all, they create a world "in which our grandchildren will live".

Those who do not have children and do not think about the future in a family context do not have such problems, said Viktor Orbán. According to him, if they were not the majority in Europe, then the most important problem to be solved would be demography.

The issue of demography is not on the European agenda today - pointed out the Prime Minister, who believes that in order for children to be born, there must be many people who believe that there are things in the world that are more important than ourselves.

The government's goal is for those who have children in Hungary to be in a better financial situation than those who do not

he highlighted.

Viktor Orbán also said that the Hungarian people take what they have achieved for granted. Therefore, the Prime Minister takes the family policy goals achieved so far for granted, the goal now is to have even more children.

Viktor Orbán reminded that the Italian prime minister, whose family policy is eerily similar to the Hungarian one, took part in the demographic summit. And the demographic peak is meant to create an alliance between countries that agree on family policy.

Viktor Orbán also said that the European Parliament elections will play a major role, because change is needed in Brussels, because what the Brussels elite is doing now is causing Europe to suffer.

We need a leadership in Brussels that stands for peace, prefers families instead of gender propaganda, and ends the double standards applied to Poland and Hungary.

More and more parties are already criticizing the leadership in Brussels, he added.

The Brusselsites persuaded the countries to allow the cheap grain to enter their countries, so that it would also reach African countries. However, African countries did not benefit from this, rather cheap Ukrainian grain was sent to other countries. That is why the import ban on Ukrainian grain was necessary, he explained. He added that this ban is now expiring and it seems that Brussels does not want to extend it.

If the Union does not extend the ban, the Hungarian government will do so under national authority.
