The European Commission cannot do anything to ensure that the 2022 elections in Hungary are free and fair, said Věra Jourová, Commissioner for Values and Transparency of the European Commission, reports Pestisrácok with reference to Szabad Europa, to which the EU Commissioner gave an interview.

Věra Jourová added: the rules for the European Union and its member states were created with the knowledge that elections will always be free and fair everywhere. The organization of elections is entirely within the competence of the member states, so we are not prepared for such situations.

Jourová also noted that their observers will be present at the elections, and the foreign media will also pay attention to what will happen in Hungary in April 2022.

I want to see a winner who can stand up and say: I won in a free and fair election, Věra Jourová told Free Europe.

Justice Minister Judit Varga reacted to the statement on her social media page with the title "The hay of left-liberal forces cannot stand well...".

Vera Jourová would already explain the credentials of her allies in advance. 58 days before the elections, he is trying to make the voting unfair, while in the last 12 years, no one from the OSCE to the European Commission has ever disputed the integrity of the Hungarian elections.

Jourová is not only politically seriously biased, but she would also openly intervene in the election campaign.

We understand that it would also be a "grand prize" for the Commissioner if her friends in principle won the elections, but at least she could maintain the appearance of being able to perform her job objectively.

2022 plus:

The minister is used to clearly but diplomatically criticizing what should be done, although we have to see that if, God forbid, the left wins, then everything was done properly, and the OSCE representatives would also leave very satisfied. However, if the opposite were to happen, then even if the current (and again victorious) government party says that we won in a free and fair election, it will certainly be a jackal's attack, and the prospect of more retorts, because the annexation of the country was unsuccessful. Let's think about the 100 years of our history: the mutilation of the country, then the Nazi and Soviet rule. And now the union would make the country a colony...
