A new generation completed the course at the Children's Railway, where 180 young railway workers took their vows at the inauguration ceremony.

The children's railway workers who graduated from the 2022/2023 course were inaugurated on Saturday: the vow was heard from 180 voices at the terminus in Külövölgy. General manager Zoltán Pafféri welcomed the young people as children's railway passengers on behalf of MÁV.

Kornél Besztercán, the head of the Children's Railway, said that the small railway plays a big role in the education of the supply of transport specialists, and he honored the fifty young children's railway workers who completed this year's training with excellent results.

On the light railway, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, the service is provided by 10-14 year olds. During a four-month course, the children get to know the basics of the railway profession and the sights of the area, and after passing the exams they can enter the service.

The growing popularity of the Children's Railway is shown by the fact that a record number of children's railways were inaugurated both in the previous and the current school year.

The next children's railway course will start at the beginning of October, and you can register from the beginning of September website of the Children's Railway - read the announcement of MÁV.
