The migrant quota is equivalent to an invitation letter for human traffickers and migrants, stated the Minister of Justice, who said that the rule of law procedures are nothing more than political pressure disguised as legal.
"We've always said, we've been right again, the quota remains the quota, no matter how we label it," Judit Varga said on Hír TV's Bayer show in response to the suggestion that the European Union would introduce a mandatory distribution of migrants among member states.
We also wrote that last week the meeting of the EU interior ministers took place in Luxembourg, where at the end of the marathon-long meeting, the heads of ministries decided to make the distribution of migrants among the member states mandatory, and those who refused to do so were denied 22 thousand euros per migrant, i.e. eight million forints must be paid.
"The quota, or a kind of distribution mechanism, sends the message to the third world and the world outside of Europe that you can come here no matter what, because in the end you can stay here, because we will force it down some country's throat. Whether you want to go there or not. So, in my opinion, this is not even the best solution from the other side, not to mention that it absolutely overrides the sovereignty of nations or what we think about being able to decide for ourselves who we want to live with," pointed out Judit Varga, who according to the quota obligation is equivalent to an invitation letter for people smugglers and migrants.
The minister stated that the issue of migration will once again be on the agenda in European countries, which will also be an important issue in the campaign for the European Parliament elections.
Speaking about the rule of law procedures, Judit Varga said: political pressure is being exerted, while those who were involved in the biggest corruption scandal in Brussels in recent decades would also return to the European Parliament.
Rule of law procedures are nothing more than political pressure disguised as legal, he declared.
The head of the ministry reminded that our country is being attacked by Eva Kaili, who was involved in the biggest corruption scandal in Brussels in recent decades and now plans to reactivate herself as a politician after her release.
This is unacceptable - said the minister, who believes that sanity must be restored, so that the EU funds can arrive sooner.
