"I'll stay! I'm! I will be! I sing! This is my message to those who do everything to "get buried". Music cuts through everything, cleans it, lifts it up! They are small and loud, who cheat on the Internet! Normal people don't deal with such idiotic articles and comments..." wrote singer Gabi Tóth in her Instagram
Gabi Tóth wrote, in his opinion
those who are "doing everything to make it expire" have "already crossed the line of normalcy" and hopes that "everyone will see it".
He added that he understands that
his professional colleagues do not stand by him because no one wants to "get into trouble", he added at the same time that many people express their support for him in private.
On Saturday, the Petőfi music awards were presented for the seventh time. This year, outstanding performers of the Hungarian light music scene were recognized in nine categories. As is known, the female performer of the year was Gabi Tóth, and the band of the year was recognized by Ismerős Arcok. The overly accepting, correct and progressive-minded left-wing liberals no longer needed it. They immediately attacked the awardees, questioning that they received this recognition because of their performance. Fluor Tomi, the rapper of the Wellhello group, on Twitter after seeing the result:
"The comrades pat each other on the shoulder, while the pop music plays, and it really proves that, because the sajni is democratic and liberal."
Of course, we know very well that, like humor, music is only good if it comes from the left and is relentlessly critical of the system. Consequently, an award can only be democratic and liberal if it happens to be awarded to a left-wing, liberal speaker. It's not a singer dressed in folk costume, proclaiming her Christianity, or a band that has been ennobled as national kitsch. It's lucky that there are quite a few of us in the country who really love Gabi Tóth's wonderful voice, and we are proud that we have a singer who dares to take her faith with her head held high, despite the attacks on her, Magyar Nemzet writes.
In addition to Fluor, of course, one of the flagships of the left-wing media, the always correct and objective Telex, also freaked out when they saw the list of award winners, one of their polite publicists wrote the following:
"I have been following the fate of the Petőfi Music Award (PZD) for years, smiling and cursing, as few events in the past 15 years have shown the lack of vision, professionalism or just an idea of how Hungarian pop music could be awarded. We have now reached the point where the awards were handed out to the yard management in front of a paying audience on the A38 occupied by the NER, because after two-thirds of 13 years, why pay attention to appearances.(...)"
According to the author, the true professionalism would obviously be if formations splashing against the government won the awards.
