The large camps of the Rákóczi Association will begin on Sunday, where a total of 12,000 young Hungarians are expected during the summer, the organization announced.

The Rákóczi Camp, located at the foot of the Várhegy in Sátoraljaújhely, is one of the most important meeting places for Hungarian young people. Hungarian young people from 31 countries come to the various thematic camps.

The main goal of the camps is for young people to meet each other and gain lifelong friendships, experiences and memories within the framework of the various programs.

The primary goal is to strengthen the knowledge and love of Hungarian culture and the Hungarian language.

509 students from 45 high schools in the Carpathian Basin are coming to the All-Magyar High School Camp starting on Sunday afternoon, as well as high school students with Hungarian roots from the United States of America, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Spain and North Macedonia.

Attila Fülöp, the State Secretary responsible for care policy at the Ministry of the Interior, and Prime Minister's Commissioner Zsolt Nyitrai will visit the event, they wrote.

During the summer, more than two dozen camps welcome students and teachers with varied programs, in addition to the all-Hungarian camps, there are sailing, folk dance, native language, diaspora, and cycling camps.
