Because they hate him madly, don't they. Of course, it's complicated, because everyone is on vacation there. Almost everyone got a vacation home somewhere in the trendiest places, at a time when it was no longer chic to own real estate stolen from bourgeois scumbags for an intellectual family from Belpes.
For example, we don't have a holiday home on Lake Balaton as it used to be, only the communists came, and then it was gone. Then my great-grandmother, a teacher who was exiled to the countryside, built a 12-square-meter cottage a few hundred meters away so that she could see other people living in it for the rest of her life.
Because, of course, Balaton has become the workers' property. Of course, with a maximum trade union referral.
Lake Balaton was occupied by the beneficiaries of the dictatorship, built around it, and for their pleasure and comfort, the shore was concreted and the regulation of the water level serves to protect their property, i.e. their villas with direct water connection. The reserved water, that is, in case of a higher water level, the water would still flow into their villas at the end, which were otherwise usually built illegally, semi-legally, on the shore, or more precisely in the filled lake bed.
We had an acquaintance from Balaton who spent the winter in the belief that he had a holiday home by the lake, which, by the way, was so small that it did not arouse the interest of his comrades. Then, in May, they went down for the usual beach and summer house maintenance, and were shocked to find that there was a street in place of their lake shore, a filled lake bed across the street, lots and summer houses under construction that were a little bigger than theirs. The ruling class, of course.
Who legally had the money to build a holiday home in the late sixties and early seventies?
Well, for whom?
Not a single liberal or left-winger has a vacation home, property, house, that's all, out of honestly earned money. So why do liberals hate Lake Balaton?
It will be a tricky answer. The opposition newspapers publish hundreds of articles every year about how expensive and dirty Lake Balaton is, and how much better the Croatian coast is, for example, because the Croatians pay for them, but because they are bothered by the middle-class crowd on Lake Balaton. They don't want to mingle not only with the proles and blue-collar workers whom they brutally look down on, but also with the middle class.
Because according to them, Lake Balaton is theirs, we simple people shouldn't actually go on vacation, we don't produce enough for that. The elite have their rights, of course, for example, a free holiday, and they absolutely do not want to see a Fidesz voter.
Subconsciously, this is expressed in this constant banter:
Because of my merits and my intellectual superiority, I, a well-paid intellectual both from abroad and from home, inherited a holiday home from my grandfathers, which otherwise belonged to some useful person who had gone abroad, but I inherited it because in priestly, grandfatherly, even more talented families, the grandmother too, something with three letters organization also had an excellent workforce, so that I wouldn't have to poke around in the crowd when I rested from the fatigue of 9 months of mental work.
They don't like being around Hungarians in the first place, maybe they don't really like Lake Balaton either, it just bothers them that Hungarians feel good there, or even that Hungarians feel good anywhere.
Let nothing be good in Hungary.
