In August, gourmet collectors interested in the built heritage of the capital will be in for a real treat, as 14 candelabras from the Széchenyi Chain Bridge will be sold by auction.

A very interesting item has appeared in the real estate and chattels offered by Budapest Főváros Vagyonkezelő Zrt.: the capital is offering 14 candelabras from the Széchenyi Chain Bridge for sale.

The collection of objects, which is the property of the Budapest Metropolitan Municipality, will be sold through a public, one-round electronic auction, the date of which is August 14, 2023 at 10 a.m. The auction can be attended by those who pick up the auction documentation (this is possible until July 31, 2023 at 3:00 p.m.), accept its contents, submit the registration documentation (deadline: August 2, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.), or will pay the HUF 200,000 auction security so that it will be credited to BFVK Zrt.'s bank account by 24:00 on August 1, 2023 - reads the announcement.

According to the listing of the announcement, the candelabras are of various types, including complete, long candelabras consisting of a lamp body, column and pedestal, as well as short examples consisting only of a lamp body and a column. The presence or absence of decoration classifies individual items into different price categories, the pre-determined minimum purchase price ranges from HUF 675,000 + VAT to HUF 1.1 million + VAT.
