– Above all, the Brussels body wanted to prove its importance, especially to itself. The leadership of the European Union has been in serious role confusion for a long time, and unfortunately the union is trying to cover up its increasingly visible weakness with rhetoric. He wants to prove his toughness in front of his own electorate, but European citizens increasingly see that the king is naked. The leaders of the EU and the majority of the Western elite in general also misunderstand the loyalty of the allies, since they do not help the United States with these rumblings, it does not make it a more respected ally, it is just a ridiculous vassal. But worse, it weakens its positions in negotiations with China. Because let's not forget, the loss of China after Russia would have tragic consequences for European competitiveness. I don't even understand why such things need to be said, and especially in such a style, when the European Union would just assure Beijing of the maintenance of relations.
- "Immediately, completely and unconditionally withdraw your troops from Ukraine"... If Navalny were to be suddenly released from Siberia and installed in the presidential chair, he probably wouldn't dare to carry out this infantile trick from Brussels either. What could be the underlying intention of the EU committee making ridiculous demands?
– The answer is very simple. Such is the quality of the European elite at the moment. This generation of Western European politicians does not really have strategic visions, it does not start from its own, or more precisely, not Europe's, interests. And with this ridiculous heat wave, he shows even more spectacularly that Europe is weak, and he tries to hide this weakness with his mouth. He doesn't know his place, he doesn't enforce his interests, he doesn't have real political thinking, and living in a kind of moral shell, he really thinks he can educate others. In doing so, he alienates the countries of the so-called global South, which he would need. This elite is stuck somewhere in the past and really does not know where it belongs and what should be done in order for Europe to be taken seriously again. And for those of the Western European elite who at least feel this, their country has just been engulfed in flames by enraged immigrants. It is unfortunate that this is where Europe is, and it is even sadder that for now there is no light at the end of the tunnel.
- How can international relations be destroyed by a power center of the size and importance of the EU giving Beijing instructions in a sarcastic tone, "prescribing" in detail what China's leaders "must" do?
– As I have already mentioned, this confusion of roles only further worsens the positions of Europe, Beijing is not afraid of this oppression, but even the United States just smiles at it. It was this policy that led to the complete break with Russia, and it seems that the elite in Brussels have not learned from this either, and are really convinced that they are on the right track. However, with a realpolitik approach, Europe could skillfully maneuver despite its current weakness and internal problems, because the transformation of the world order widens the room for maneuver even for power centers in a worse position than the EU. However, Brussels does not have much time to stumble, because in such situations, with skillful politics, you can even gain positions beyond your strength, but with the current "spectacular bakery", you can only increase the lag. Unfortunately.
