The Hungarian competitors performed amazingly and won 11 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals on Saturday morning, on the second final day of the Youth and U23 Kayak Canoe World Championships in Auronzo, Italy.

According to the website of the Hungarian association, the first Hungarian victory of the competition day came in the K-2 500-meter final of the youth: Péter Samu, who won the world championship title with the foursome on Friday, and Zalán Hidvégi won the first place with a great hair. Also in this age group, Ágnes Kiss, Krisztián Szarka, Zakariás Nagy, Milán Mészáros, Milán Mészáros, Mitropoulos Iliász Mitropoulos and the Gergely Lugosi, István Juhász canoe two in 500 meters and Bálint Kollek in K-1 1000 meters won in the singles. Krisztián Szarka and Csepke Molnár won the 500-meter final of the mixed canoe pairs.

The kayak duo of Flóra Tölgyesi, Kata Horváth and the women's canoe foursome (Győre Panna, Petra Paragi, Vanda Matkovics, Kíra Benkucs) finished second in the half kilometer, and Hanna Pető also finished in silver medal position in the K-1 1000 meters.

Among the U23s, Réka Opavszky won the canoes and Zsóka Csikos the 500-meter race in the kayaks, and in the same distance the gold medals were won by Réka Kiskó, Janka Rugonfalvi-Kiss, and the kayak duo of Bence Vajda, Tamás Szántói-Szabó, and Dávid Koczkás, Also the canoe quartet formed by Gergő Rumi, Csanád Molnár and Ádám Besenyei.

The first-year U23 team Hunor Hidvégi (K-1 1000 m), the duo of Kristóf Kollár and Dávid Hodován (C-2 500 m) and the canoe quartet composed of Dóra Horányi, Borka Zagyvai, Zsófia Csorba and Réka Opavszky all finished third in the in the older age group.

The finals of the 5,000-meter U23 mixed relay at the World Cup will be held late on Saturday afternoon.

The other finals will take place on Sunday's closing day.
