Prime Minister Viktor Orbán led the remote government meeting on Thursday morning; the meeting will last until Friday, said Bertalan Havasi, the prime minister's press chief.
Regarding the topics to be discussed, he said: The Hungarian government wants peace and says no to migration.
"The goals remain the same: we will beat inflation, protect jobs, protect families, protect pensions and reduce utilities."
According to press reports, the developments of the war in Ukraine and support for Sweden's NATO accession may also be discussed at the government meeting taking place in the monastery in Sopronbánfalv. In addition, they will certainly review the issue of the EU budget and the situation of EU funds, Magyar Nemzet reported.
Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó came to Sopronbánfalva straight from Vilnius, from the NATO summit - the head of the ministry reported on this in a Facebook post, highlighting: "We are in a complicated and dangerous international situation, we have to protect ourselves, their safety, jobs and our values."
