After a hospital stay, patients whose home care exceeds the family's ability or who are not suitable for self-care due to their condition are admitted to the specialized nursing center.
In six locations in the country, the specialized care facilities that previously belonged to hospitals were transferred to social institutions, said the State Secretary responsible for care policy of the Ministry of the Interior at a press conference in Oroszlány.
Attila Fülöp added,
the measure affects 334 places, in six locations, Celldömölk, Kunhegyes, Oroszlány, Pincehely, Vásárosnamény, as well as XII. in the district.
Specialist care centers are a special form of nursing homes.
The transformation can mean a change for those in care who do not require continuous medical supervision, but they do need professional care, and in the new form of maintenance, community programs and a homely space are offered to the cared for.
Judit Bertalan Czunyiné, the Fidesz member of parliament of the region, said that after a hospital stay, patients whose home care exceeds the family's strength or who are not suitable for self-care are admitted to the nursing center.
According to the information provided by the head of the institution, Ilona Holup, the social care center in Oroszlány has 70 beds.
