Now it's official: Milos Kerkez succeeds Szoboszlai, another Hungarian has joined the Premier League.

Kerkez Milos has signed a contract with Bournemouth in the English football league.

The club, which was ranked 15th in the Premier League last time, announced on its Twitter page and website on Thursday morning that it had signed the eight-time Hungarian national team left-back. The duration of the agreement and the amount of the transfer were not written, but according to previous press information, the player committed himself for four years, and Bournemouth paid 18 million euros for him.

Neill Blake, managing director of AFC Bournemouth, said on the club's website: they are very happy to announce the signing of Kerkez.

"Several European teams wanted to get him, but he, after learning about our plans and goals for the future, wanted to transfer to us. His athletic build and attacking approach are a great addition to our squad, we look forward to working together," he said.

The 19-year-old Milos Kerkez signed a contract from AC Milan to the Dutch AZ Alkmaar last January, where he was expected to be a regular last season. In the season, taking into account all competition series, he played in 52 matches, scored five goals and distributed seven assists in the semi-final team in the Conference League.

The Serbian-born footballer grew up in the youth ranks of Hajduk Kula, Rapid Wien, and then ETO FC Győr, from the latter club he joined Milan in February 2021. He got a chance to play in the Italian adult team in a warm-up match.

Kerkez is Bournemouth's third summer signing and, after Dominik Szoboszlai (Liverpool FC), is currently the second Hungarian in the PL, which many consider to be the strongest league in the world.
