The János Hunyadi Award is announced for the first time by the Fidesz - Hungarian Civil Alliance party foundation, the Civic Foundation for Hungary.
The purpose of the international award is to reward outstanding personalities who have done a lot for European freedom and independence, for cooperation between nations, and for the protection of the values that underpin European identity – the Greco-Roman cultural tradition and the Christian value system.
The aim of the founders is to present personalities and their work who bravely represent the sovereign aspirations of equal national communities and who are the defining figures of right-wing, conservative thinking.
The János Hunyadi Award consists of a plaque and a certificate, the amount of the award is 20,000 euros.
Submissions - which must include a justification of at least 2,000 characters (without spaces) - are welcome at the following addresses:

Submission deadline: August 6, 2023.
The Foundation's Board of Trustees will decide on the awarding of the award in August 2023. The award ceremony is expected to take place in autumn in Brussels.
