A few changes will come into effect from the first of August - reminded Csaba Dömötör in his latest video. According to the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, store promotions should be switched to a higher level. He added that the government will require mandatory promotions for stores from June, and from August the change will be that the amount of mandatory promotions must be increased from 10 to 15 percent in the affected product groups.
In the video uploaded to Facebook, Csaba Dömötör said that this is not all, because the authorities will act with great severity in the event that the multis increase their prices without any basis.
He stated: they must also do their part in the fight against inflation, there is no room for price speculation here.
The previous anti-inflation measures will also remain, such as the subsidized energy prices, the coverage of which is also included in next year's budget. The residential interest rate cap will remain in effect, and according to Dömötör, county passes can also significantly reduce the travel burden of those traveling by bus or train.
The State Secretary stated: the current situation is basically determined by the war and its economic consequences.
He drew attention to the fact that we did not cause this war, but the whole of Europe is suffering its consequences.
"Economically speaking, Europe suffers the most. The government will, despite this, provide all possible support to Hungarian families, even in this extraordinary situation," the state secretary said.
