Why are we enemies when we have such friends? - asks Károly Kövesdi the one million dollar question in connection with the restriction of the visa exemption aimed at Hungarians living abroad in the USA.
The well-known saying has become relevant again: after continuous attempts to bring the European Union to its knees, the USA has also openly joined the attack on Hungary, the Biden administration restricts visa-free travel to America with Hungarian passports under the pretext of "security concerns".
The explanation is so transparent it's almost laughable
The security risk is said to be the one million Hungarians who obtained Hungarian citizenship as Hungarians abroad between 2011 and 2020. In our reading: those who (after they never asked for their attachment) were naturalized as Hungarians of their own accord, because they also belong to the nation, should live anywhere in the world. This unfriendly step is outrageous and transparent because the "friendly concern" applies only to Hungary out of the forty countries participating in the program. So that particular horse's leg sticks out a lot.
But not only the explanation is transparent, but also the root cause of the "friendly step" itself. Apparently, it is about the fact that the USA asked Hungary for the data of naturalized Hungarians, and they are aware of how much burden the Hungarian government places on data protection across the sea. Of course, they also knew in Bidengotia that they would not receive the requested data. So the whole circus was just an excuse to make another "friendly gesture", which was preceded by the operation around the double taxation agreement recently, when the USA unilaterally kicked the well-functioning agreement.
The Hungarian left-liberal parallel is also given: according to neo-Marxist liberals, any Russian, Chinese or Arab spy could have infiltrated Hungary in recent years (from the Highlands, Transylvania, Vojvodina, etc.), thanks to the Hungarian government. They say, the idea manufacturers. According to those who believe that Hungary lets people smugglers go free. "Releasing" human traffickers (and they are also aware of this) means in practice that they will be forced out of the country, so that all the criminals in Europe are not fed by Hungarian taxpayers. If the western neighbors only send thousands of unnecessary migrants here, they do not want to share the burden of providing for the criminals, and Brussels does not give a single cent to border protection.

During the disgraceful referendum in 2004, the Fletós scolded the residents of Csonka-Hungary by saying that twenty million Romanians would flood the country and eat away at the old people's pensions. A misguided part of the motherland then disowned its national brothers, and the liberal left burst with joy. Not to mention the barely veiled jubilation of the successor states. After 19 years, the Bidens are playing the same game again, in a slightly different form, but the parallel and the identity of the masterminds can be clearly seen in action.
But there is a more vile way than this visa scam. They would also support the Orange plans to destroy Hungarian democracy (overthrow the democratically elected government) by trying to scare German and American investors away from Hungary. And future potential applicants. Every year, the US Department of State publishes its resolution influencing the investment decisions of American companies. This is compiled based on information from embassies.
It is not surprising that the statement of the Budapest ambassador David Pressman is full of untruths and insults.
By the way, they received the "line leader" or rather sheet music issued to the managers of large companies in many places. We remember how the German Siemens pulled out of Paks II, breaking a contract. Or how the president of the German Business Club, which brings together German companies and companies operating in Hungary, was not allowed to speak in Brussels at the hearing where he listed the complaints of alleged German companies, slandering the conditions in Hungary. The only professional who could have had a relevant opinion. While the hall echoed with the noises and thick lies of civil organizations.
But whether it is about visas, double customs, or the intention to undermine economic relations, it is important to know what the nefarious intention is that weaves through this whole play. The director, the (of course non-existent) background power hustling in a democratic cloak, will stop at nothing to force Hungary into a war against Russia (then horribile dictu: China) - for peace and democracy, of course - in which millions of Hungarian passports can be stamped out then change.
"This is a shameful game against a loyal ally that has taken in one and a half million Ukrainian refugees," the conservative Counterpoint Institute wrote on its social media page, adding:
"Biden lets 7 million people cross the southern border unchecked, but punishes ally Hungary for not being pro-war and pro-LGBTQ enough."
When, according to the democrats, would the Hungarians be loyal allies? According to the current leaders of Bidengotia, if migrants were allowed in unaccounted for, they would buy American shale gas at four times the price, push weapons into Ukraine, keep quiet about the rights of the Transcarpathian Hungarians, the whole country would parade after Pressman in the pride parade, and mentally ill males would be rampaging in Hungarian kindergartens. There is only one consolation: not everyone in America is stupid.
