In theory, right, these people would be intellectuals. However, the signs show that a new category is needed for their classification: graduate nonsense.
We are talking about the PDSZ (Democratic Trade Union of Pedagogues), or more precisely, its leadership. As reported by several organs, this organization, which in principle is supposed to represent and protect the interests of teachers, encouraged its members (and, according to their intention, all teachers) to resign.
They're right, why not? After all, they studied and even taught so that in the end they would not have a job. This is the salutary goal, which is also the purest protection of interests, just not the protection of teachers' interests. But this is uninteresting (for the leadership of the PDSZ), the important thing is to create a winning situation for the so-called left, proving that poor teachers have been put on the streets because of the evil government.
The PDSZ has already proven many times that they are more interested in anything else than their membership, in a broader sense, the protection of the interests of teachers. They have already organized anti-government movements, incited protests and cordon-breaking with false arguments (because even if they didn't break it with their own hands, their students, whom they provoked and are always ready to do wrong, did), they shamefully looked away when a pedophile (sorry, ephebophile, if that means anything) teaching assistant she bragged about her unnatural relationship with a 15-year-old boy. The PDSZ said that they do not deal with the private lives of the members. The PDSZ is a great organization!
The trade union really serves the interests of its members - by providing professional advice. Resign, teachers, by the first of August, and then you will still receive your August salary. On the other hand, there is no wise guidance or advice on what they will live on in the "remaining" 11 months.
Let's say, although the facts fortunately show otherwise, let's say that their rants resonate and teachers leave the field en masse, so many that it becomes impossible to teach in primary and secondary schools. That would be the real success! There would be no one to teach the stinky children, they don't like to learn anyway, they are rude and annoying. What is good for them and what is not is irrelevant. The PDSZ only "serves" the interests of the teachers, not the children. It's okay if the riotous hot-shots take the little ones to the street, those who really have no idea what's going on, they just enjoy the fact that there's no teaching. By the way, it's a wonderful experience to hear the children's choir singing on command to pay more money to the teacher...
And what is most wonderful about the inciting message of the PDSZ is that they encourage their members to resign, but also not to leave the union after leaving the field, but to continue paying the membership fee. Why is that? After all, their interests are no longer "protected" by the PDSZ (did they protect them until now?). They really look at teachers like birds! Who is the brainless idiot who pays for nothing on a monthly basis? Anyone who says yes online is really a bird, not to use an uglier definition. And he's so stupid that he shouldn't have taught, but should have learned a lot at school, even in the auxiliary version.
After this, it is no longer surprising that the number of members of the PDSZ has continuously decreased since the regime change, and this would continue if many of their members heeded their call and resigned.
