Hungary will defend Judeo-Christian values even if it annoys Washington, the head of the Center for Fundamental Rights stated to an American TV channel.
All the political disputes between the Biden administration and Hungary are actually the result of differences in worldviews, said Miklós Szánthó, director general of the Center for Fundamental Rights, to the American news channel Newsmax, after the leftist leadership of the United States introduced visa sanctions against Hungary.
The Fundamental Rights Center reported Miklós Szánthó's statement in a statement. The head of the center was quoted, who told the American news channel on Monday that "the Hungarian conservative government stands for the set of values of God, country and family".
In the program, Miklós Szánthó also pointed out the real reasons for the recent ideological conflict between Washington and Budapest, because the consistent, conservative posture of the Hungarian government "frustrates the liberal mainstream, not only in Europe, but also in the United States", adding that the external pressure cannot dissuade Hungarians from certain basic principles.
Thus, protecting our children from gender ideology and protecting our borders against mass migration is a national foundation from which we will not expand. Hungary also protects our Judeo-Christian heritage, which is the root of our Western civilization," said the director general of the center, according to the announcement.
According to the Center for Fundamental Rights, Miklós Szánthó also spoke about how "the Biden administration and Brussels are trying to put pressure on Hungary to adapt to the so-called "European and liberal values".
All this serves the purpose of enabling György Soros to realize his dream of making our country an "open society", the director general was quoted as saying.
Miklós Szánthó explained: the Hungarian right-wing refuses to be forced to its knees, and this is the fundamental reason for all political conflicts between Hungary and the liberal mainstream".
In the program, Miklós Szánthó said: postmodern progression recognizes only one form of democracy, liberal democracy. "If a democracy is not liberal," they say, "it is not a democracy." But this is not true. This is a lie. True democracy is about plurality. And yes, there are different versions of democracy," said the director general.
Miklós Szánthó stated that Christian democracy is flourishing in Hungary, and Hungarians only ask that it be accepted abroad. In addition, he reminded that most of the measures that the left objects to, including the Child Protection Act, were adopted by the Parliament with a large majority, and the people also confirmed them in referendums.
90 percent of Hungarians rejected gender propaganda in schools and kindergartens," emphasized Miklós Szánthó in the Newsmax program, according to the Center for Fundamental Rights.
