Last year's budget splurging was unnecessary, Fidesz would have won the parliamentary election even without it, and according to Péter Oszkó, the ruling party can provide the political support necessary for next year's EU and local government voting with the expected rise in living standards, reports 24.hu.

"Although it doesn't really need it, the crisis couldn't shake its voter base either, the opposition couldn't profit from it either, it couldn't demonstrate the ability to govern"
