Although the Budapest World Cup is primarily about sports, there are still moments during the World Cup that no one expects.
The sixth day of the World Athletics Championships, Thursday, was special for Hana Burzalova, who started in the women's 35-kilometer walk, after her partner in the men's race, Dominik Cerny, proposed at the finish line.
25-year-old Dominik Cerny finished 19th in the men's race, while Hana Burzalová finished 28th in the women's race with her best time of 3:02.47.
The 22-year-old athlete was "waited" at the finish line not only by his own peak, but also by his partner, Cerny, who got down on one knee, welcomed him with a ring, and quickly proposed.
Burzalová said yes, and the couple smiled happily for the cameras after the unusual engagement.
