The former Fox News presenter and American conservative journalist conducted a half-hour interview with Viktor Orbán, in which he discussed the Russian-Ukrainian war, the United States of America, and the mission of the Hungarian nation.
"That's a lie. This is not only a misunderstanding, it is a lie and impossible. Everyone who deals with politics and understands logic, numbers, and data knows that this is out of the question," answered the Hungarian Prime Minister to the suggestion that people in America think that Ukraine stands to win the war with Russia.
Viktor Orbán emphasized in the interview that he deeply sympathizes with Ukraine. He also answered the question why he thinks Ukraine's victory is impossible:
"Ukrainian soldiers will wear out faster than Russians, and the number of soldiers will ultimately count on the battlefield. The Russians are much stronger in this, there are much more, much more than the Ukrainians."
During the interview, they could not leave without saying a word about the situation of Transcarpathian Hungarians.
"We have a strong minority, more than 150 thousand people, in the territory of Ukraine, in a place that used to belong to Hungary. So a historical minority, community lives there. They are part of the Ukrainian state and are now being conscripted into the army where they will die.
They fight for Ukraine, and Hungarian soldiers die for Ukraine as Ukrainian citizens"
The Hungarian Prime Minister also drew attention to the fact that at some point the Ukrainian army will run out of men and will need additional units, which, if provided by Western countries, would mean the outbreak of a direct war between Russia and the West.
The interview was also made available on the Prime Minister's YouTube channel, you can watch it here:
