The government will provide HUF 450 million in 2024 to support the activities of ethnic NGOs. Applications can be submitted until September 28, announced the State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office responsible for church and ethnic relations.

Miklós Soltész said at the handover ceremony of the Collegium Croaticum Croatian College in Pécs, which was built with government support:

the framework sum also serves to maintain the traditions of the nationalities, preserve their mother tongue, and realize their cultural goals. 

He highlighted: the cabinet provides a significant amount of the available funds exclusively for the purchase of musical instruments and performance clothes, forty million forints are available for this purpose. Miklós Soltész said:

in the past decade, more than 4,100 successful tenders were implemented, and through these the Hungarian government was able to support the activities of nationalities living in the country with HUF 4.1 billion.

He elaborated: with the support of the cabinet, the Croatian nationality in Pécs was able to renovate educational institutions and a theater, so the Croatians in Hungary are supported from preschool age to adulthood in preserving their culture and identity, and in being able to serve their own community. He said:

the government wholeheartedly supports the goals of the nationalities, because the investments they envision and implement not only serve the nationalities, but also the settlements. He pointed out that as part of the projects, the nationalities will also renovate dilapidated buildings that are in bad condition and will be used for community purposes.
