"Be proud of yourselves, walk with your head held high, but with humility! I ask that you always know where you started from and don't forget those who supported you in the first steps!"

Every year, the "SZARVASÉRT" Foundation organized its charity event called "Bál a vízé over", which was canceled in the last three years due to the difficulties that appeared in our lives. From the proceeds of this, from the support of the Municipality of Szarvas City, as well as from donations to entrepreneurs and private individuals, it helped those students who achieved outstanding results in their studies, sports, or the arts during their high school education start higher education.

Tenders are issued for its distribution every year.

The submitted projects are evaluated in an objective scoring system, and HUF 200-200,000 are awarded to those who collect the most points, up to the available amount. This event took place for the tenth time on Wednesday in the Civil House in Szarvas. János Bődi, honorary citizen of Szarvas City, president of the Circle of Friends of Szarvas City, which established the "SZARVASÉRT" Foundation, honored the recipient with his presence on behalf of the founder.

A dozen applications were received by the mid-August submission deadline in 2023. The board of trustees was in a difficult situation after all twelve students' certificates were false. This is also why the decision was painful, said Judit Závogyán, the president of the board of trustees, that they had to establish an order among such students, but for the sake of objectivity, the point system was created to help in such cases.

This year's awardees include Máté Borbély to the Károl Gáspár Reformed University Faculty of State and Law, Milán Nándor Hajduch to the Óbuda University Ybl Miklós Faculty of Architecture as an architect, Levente Pósa to the Szeged University Faculty of Natural Sciences and Informatics as a program designer, Sechna Dorina to the Eötvös Lóránd University State and Law He is studying law, Dóra Teremy is studying Economics and Management at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting of the Budapest University of Economics, and Tóth Szabolcs Botond is studying at the Neumann János University GAMF-Technical and Information Technology Faculty.

Mayor Mihály Babak said that, in his 76th year, he is also a law student at the Károli Gáspár Reformed University. It was on his bucket list. All that remains is to defend the thesis and pass the final exams. He welcomes young people back after graduating from university, but if they have a problem in the meantime and think he can help, contact him.

Upon hearing the results of this year's entrants, the city manager asked Judit Závogyán to jointly investigate how they could help the other six young people with a similar amount by mid-September. They will review their options with the board, and the rest would be supplemented by public donations. An impromptu call was also made for this, in which those who can are asked to join this initiative and look for the president of the foundation.

"Be proud of yourselves, walk with your head held high, but with humility! I ask that you always know where you started from and don't forget those who supported you in the first steps!"

- concluded the presentation by the president of the foundation.
