On Saturday morning, Kossuth Square in Szolnok hosted the Jubilee 20th Civilian Cavalcade.

Many regional organizations were able to show their activities at the event. It was stated at the opening of the program: since 2003, the Civil Cavalcade has been organized at the county seat, where previously only local organizations could present themselves.

The jubilee event began with a welcome from Vince Szalay-Bobrovnicky, Deputy State Secretary responsible for civil and social relations. As he said: this current occasion has a great impact on him, as he has been able to pay his respects several times on programs.

"Nearly 100 exhibitors arrived, about five hundred civil organizations operate in Szolnok. We tried to provide support for the event, because we believe that it is a prominent event in this region. It is good news for civilians that we have announced the urban civil fund, which is a new application opportunity for which applications can be submitted until October 2," said the state secretary.

The guest of the event was Dr. Parliamentarian Mária Kállai also emphasized in her speech that the public sector, the economy and citizens must work together in order to develop the region. He pointed out: in the past two decades, those interested have seen 780 stage productions at the cavalcade, which has attracted more than 10,000 visitors so far.

After that, Zsolt Herczeg, Member of Parliament for Mezőtúr and its region, took the floor at the podium, who spoke about the fact that non-governmental organizations carry out activities that others do not, and thereby complement community life in a great way.

"We can rightly be proud of their work. They preserve our traditions and try to pass them on to the next generation," concluded the father-in-law.

During the cavalcade, many city events awaited those interested. Kossuth tér and Hild János tér held exciting programs, as well as inviting families to the RepTár and the train station.
