Equestrians from the Carpathian Basin can apply for government support.
The open call for tenders for the Equestrian Program of the Carpathian Basin launched by the State Secretariat for National Policy has been published. In the framework of the Transylvanian Equestrian Program launched last year, support was provided to 75 Transylvanian equestrian organizations.
In a statement on Tuesday, the State Secretariat emphasized that the purpose of the program, in addition to encouraging a healthy lifestyle and regular sports, is to preserve traditions, nurture equestrian traditions and strengthen the sense of national identity in the Carpathian Basin.
Hungarian organizations operating outside the borders of Hungary and engaged in horse-related activities can apply for the tender for operations, development, equipment procurement, as well as the implementation of programs and events. It is a condition that the activities listed in the founding document include equestrian sports and equestrian leisure, equestrian tradition preservation, equestrian tourism, equestrian therapy or the organization of equestrian events.
They highlighted: equestrian sports and equestrian culture are an important part of national culture, which is why the State Secretariat for National Policy has been supporting the revival of equestrian sports and the implementation of equestrian events throughout the Carpathian Basin for years.
The State Secretariat recalled that the Transylvanian Equestrian Program was launched last year, in the framework of which they provided support to 75 Transylvanian equestrian organizations. Following the model of the Transylvanian Equestrian Program and as an extension of it, the launch of the Carpathian Basin Equestrian Program was announced this July. The purpose of this is to support equestrian associations at the level of the program covering the entire Carpathian basin, as well as to facilitate the wider introduction and promotion of equestrian culture and equestrian traditions, especially among children and young people.
The total amount of the tender is HUF 400 million, the amount of support that can be applied for ranges from HUF one million to HUF seven million. The benefit is a non-refundable grant.
The starting date for submitting the application is September 5, 2023, applications are expected until October 3, 2 p.m. CET.
