Migrants have invaded the Hungarian mountains, claims the mayor of Diósjenő, who warned the people in the area to be careful.

József Székely issued a call to the residents of the settlement, who he warned: Börzsöny has turned into a major migration route, he said.

According to the mayor, everything we see on the news about the southern border is happening live before the eyes of the residents of the Nógrád settlement.

"Vans and minibuses with unknown license plates filled with young men sweep through the village at high speed, typically at night. You can meet large groups of backpackers - not looking like tourists - in the forest," he added.

"I ask everyone to be more careful. No one should try to stop or detain vehicles or groups on their own. If necessary, if anyone feels threatened, call 911," the village leader pointed out

In recent days, József Székely has experienced an astonishing increase in human trafficking in the region.
