The government will extend the mandatory actions from the original deadline of the end of September to the end of the year, government spokeswoman Alexandra Szentkirályi said.

He emphasized that the online price monitor and the mandatory promotions also contribute to the fact that inflation is decreasing in Hungary.

The reason for the inflation is the war and sanctions, but the government did not do nothing, so the inflation continued to decrease month after month, the government spokesman said. He announced: compared to the peak in December, food inflation has already been reduced by more than half.

That is why the government decided to extend the mandatory actions from the original deadline of the end of September to the end of the year, said Alexandra Szentkirályi.

He added that the online price monitor is working, and the authorities also check the stores to see if they comply with these promotions.
