It is necessary to ensure that family-friendly, conservative forces come to power in as many European countries as possible, said Viktor Orbán in his speech at the 5th Budapest Demographic Summit on Friday.

- Two years have passed since we last held a conference. The world has changed since then, we are in the shadow of a war - said Viktor Orbán at the demographic summit in Budapest. The prime minister emphasized that fortunately, good things happened, so the Italian right won the elections, which happened at the last moment.

- The friendship between the two countries is doomed, because both nations are the homeland of freedom fighters. In both countries, they know that there is no freedom without authority, and families are the foundations of nations, he noted.

Viktor Orbán also spoke about the fact that Bulgaria is an important partner of Hungary in the protection against illegal migration and also in the field of energy security. The Hungarian Prime Minister also greeted the Azeri and Bosnian delegations separately. - Hungary regards the protection of Christians worldwide as a matter of conscience. Hungary is one of the strong bastions of support for families in the world, the attacks only make us tougher, he pointed out.

- You may know that Hungary is the loudest advocate of families and demography in international politics. There will be no change in this, even though the Hungarian government is attacked in the liberal world, it only makes us tougher. There is no change - stated the Prime Minister.

As he said, it is important that we hold a demographic forum again after two years, because Europe is still led by a progressive, liberal elite. The prime minister sees that instead of important issues of Europe, such as the demographic future of the continent, he is busy with all kinds of stupidity and incompetence.

Viktor Orbán reminded that the Soviets were serious about reversing the course of some rivers and overwriting the world order. This is what came to mind when the European Parliament voted two years ago to allow men to have children.

He drew attention to the fact that an MCC analysis found that the various Eurobarometer surveys only reflect the fears of the progressive political elite and are not about what concerns people.

– In a dictatorship, we can only imagine that the leaders grind in a completely different mill, but it is unimaginable that this could happen in a Western democracy, where the will of the voters is decisive. European citizens are most interested in how they can start a family, create a secure home and raise them in safety. These are demographic issues, but they are not the focus of European politics - underlined the Prime Minister.

According to him, this may be because the interpretation of how the world works has been undermined by liberals. - They spread the word that the individual is the most important thing in the world, and there is nothing more. They see tyranny in everything and everyone, in the family, in the country, in God. However, the barrier also serves to hold on to it and a support that helps us to move up and become who the Good Lord created us to be. It is true that living together also means a limitation, but without it there is no freedom either. Here in Hungary, we know that freedom requires at least two people, who is alone is not free, but lonely - stated Viktor Orbán. He pointed out that liberals create fear, which knocks on the door of an unrealistic fear of the future.

- People are expected to subordinate all their actions to an impending end of the world. Europe acts out of fear. They say there is no future and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. For this reason, it is an absolute duty to organize a demographic summit. This is the biggest forum where we can deal with the most important issues, home, family and having children, he added.

He drew attention to the fact that demographic policy in Hungary has set itself five goals: having children should be an advantage, we should help create a home, family policy should be based on mothers, the whole country should be made family-friendly, and this should be protected by means of the law.

- Since 2010, the income of families with one child has doubled, while that of families with several children has tripled. Every fifth family got a new home - explained Viktor Orbán. He pointed out that the biggest threat to mothers in Hungary is having to raise their children alone, but today three out of four children are born into a family. As he said, at the same time, the tax exemption was introduced for mothers with four children, and plans include extending this to mothers with three children as well.

- The political palette must be transformed, let's say, a change of course is needed, it must be achieved that family-friendly, conservative forces come to power in as many European countries as possible. In addition, there will be European Parliament elections next year, and everything is given to turn the balance of power in our favor with an all-embracing operation. In the meantime, we Hungarians must do our homework at home, gain new momentum and put together the Hungarian family policy 2.0 program. I wish that the family-friendly forces win the elections at home, and that next spring we will win the European Parliament elections together and make the European family policy turnaround together - concluded the Prime Minister's speech.
