Family policy has a prominent place in the Alliance's program, as the demographic indicators of Slovakia and the Uplands are very bad, and the admission of immigrants would not solve the situation, but rather cause a problem - Mózes Szabolcs, the Hungarian party in the Uplands, the vice president of the Alliance, spoke about this on Tuesday on M1 on the current channel.
The vice-president said that family policy ranks first in their election program among the individual fields, because Slovakia has disastrous demographic indicators, and the indicator is also very bad among Hungarians in the highlands.
It is not enough to stop assimilation, it is also necessary to have more children
he added.
In addition to the increase of direct subsidies, such as home building and child care assistance, the vice president also highlighted the increase of indirect subsidies, such as the construction of nurseries and kindergartens.
Speaking from Bratislava, Mózes Szabolcs explained in response to a question: when compiling their family policy program, they also built on Hungarian models. "If only because in the last 10-13 years we have seen a robust family policy on the part of Hungary," he said.
Both in increasing child care subsidies and in helping to create a home
the measures in Hungary were points of inspiration for them
he added.
In Slovakia, the early election will be held on September 30, in which 25 parties and associations will run. According to Mózes Szabolcs, it can be deduced from the messages of the campaigns that family policy is not an important issue for other parties.
In the Association's opinion, however, it should be treated as a priority because migration is not the answer to unfavorable population trends in Slovakia, he emphasized.
"Accepting immigrants cannot solve the problem in the medium or longer term, and may even cause problems"
he said.
The vice-president of the Association also spoke about the fact that their own voters consider family policy important, and this is discussed at public forums and meetings.
In recent years, the Hungarian government and Hungary have provided very serious help for kindergarten development, said Mózes Szabolcs, who concluded the conversation by saying: it is time to be there in the parliament, in the Slovak government, and we can expand these forms of support from the government level.
