The Stakhanovist of the elections, the Benjamin Button of French politics, a chameleon - articles and comments with an ironic or even sarcastic and sometimes angry tone are flying around after Juliette de Causans, the candidate of the marginal, left-wing dwarf party called EEE, "got another twenty years younger". on the campaign posters of the September Senate elections.
It was like that, like that... it never was - the difference between De Causans' real face and the portrait that appears on the posters . The photo, which is at least close to reality, was published on an earlier launch
the "eternal candidate" of French political life, who has never won a mandate,
but his party pushes him forward with increasing momentum in every existing election.
He became twenty years younger this year
The average-looking woman, who looks more like the high school girls she teaches, is in reality in her forties -
she lent herself a top model look on posters and electronic election materials with the help of artificial intelligence.
This is how De Causans, who lives in the Ardennes and teaches at a high school in Reims, decided to run for the National Assembly in 2022, and in the end did not win a mandate, since he won only 4.2 percent of the votes in his constituency.
EEE (Europe Ecologie Egalité - European Nature Conservation Equality), which does not play any major role in French politics, broke away from the governing, centrist Renaissance party, and supports it from the left, did not leave it at that: it ran its candidate in the spring presidential elections.
The legitimacy of De Causans's launch has already raised questions: the lady and who has not demonstrated any meaningful political activity, However, the Renaissance party has clearly indicated that it does not support the candidate. The politician finally entered the fight to represent the French living abroad, taking advantage of a repeat vote due to irregularities.
However, it was not her skills that attracted attention, but the fact that she "retouched" or rather thickly falsified her face: from the posters, a well-off woman in her twenties with a pleasant face, fit for a model, smiles at the voters.
None of his facial features match De Causans' previous poster.
De Causans is in his forties, but he has never given his exact age. This spring, however, according to the campaign photos that can be viewed on Instagram, her skin became noticeably lighter in one year, her teeth straightened, and her hair grew thicker.
He has the rights to do it?
"As a candidate, I have the right to have nice photos," declared the teacher, who lost with 7.7 percent of the votes, self-consciously. His party did not mince words: De Causans is now running for the September elections, if possible, with even more falsified campaign photos, in fact, the images that will appear on the flyers and posters of the eternal political candidate when he appears in Europe in 2024 are already ready.
If possible, the pictures being prepared for the European elections are even more "incompetent" than before; it wasn't by chance that he blew the fuse on social media. "You are misleading the voters with your campaign photo! This
pathetic, I won't vote for you again. Go back to the Ardennes, we deserve better!”
- says a disillusioned voter on Instagram under photos of De Causans.
" In reality, you don't look like your campaign photo at all! You start lying straight away, so that's beautiful!” - complains another poster.
Who will stop the politician? - asks the French newspaper L'Union.
Who will stop artificial intelligence?
- we can ask the question, since this photo is no longer the result of simple retouching.
Another straight job
The French Senate elections will take place on September 24. Half of the upper house will be "renovated".
Emmanuel Macron's movement is expected to suffer in the polls,
while the conservative parties, which have almost continuously enjoyed a majority in this chamber since 1958, are predicted to perform well even now.
Senators are elected for six years in an electoral system. Half of the senatorial seats are voted on every three years.
In the indirect election, 79,000 electors vote for 170 senatorial seats in a total of 42 mainland and overseas counties,
including Paris and the overseas territories of Saint Pierre and Miquelon and New Caledonia.
Due to its victories in the 2020 municipal elections, the right has an extensive network of local elected officials, and this provides them with stable constituencies.
